Siegi Schmidmaier is the Director of Strategy at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne Australia.

Siegi has been working in the health sector challenging assumptions about how we think about the future of health care and exploring new possibilities. Since joining Peter Mac Siegi has been involved in shaping the directions for the organisation in the context of its imminent move to the new state-of-the-art and purpose built and designed Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre building which will open in June 2016.

At the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, there is strong focus on innovation and improvement through creative and collaborative partnerships and building strategic collaborations locally and internationally.

Siegi has experience working in large health systems and for government in Australia as well as international experience in consulting in the health field. She holds a Master of Science, Public Health from Humboldt University and the Freie University Berlin and a Bachelor of Nursing, University of Sydney.
